Joules, who touched hearts across the world with her sweet spirit and videos full of light, passed away peacefully in her parents’ bed after a brave battle with brain cancer. Her parents, Joe and Esha, shared the heartbreaking news through social media, revealing they had spent every precious moment by her side.

“We haven’t been online recently because we needed to spend every single second with our beautiful princess,” her father said in a deeply emotional video. “We never left her side.”

Joules was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) — a rare and aggressive brain tumor found in children. Doctors gave her only nine months to live. That diagnosis came after her parents noticed something wasn’t quite right and took her to King’s College Hospital in London. The devastating news that followed changed their lives forever.

Despite the crushing diagnosis, Joe and Esha vowed to make every day count. And they did.

Joules’ radiant smile and pure energy sparked a wave of love across social media. Her followers launched the #DancingForJoules trend, sharing joyful dancing videos in her honor — a powerful movement to raise awareness for terminal illnesses in children. Joules watched those videos with joy in her heart.

Her father continued encouraging the trend, even as time grew short.

“If you’re going to do anything… please keep dancing for Joules. I know she’d still be dancing.”

Just a few weeks before her passing, Joe gave an emotional update, saying that doctors had prepared the family for the end. Still, the Smiths made sure that Joules’ final months were filled with warmth, fun, and love.

“We gave her the best five, six months of her life. Unfortunately, our journey is nearing the end,” he shared through tears.

Joules passed away on December 9, 2024 — surrounded by love.

Her mother, Esha, later wrote on Instagram:

“We are absolutely heartbroken… but so proud of our little princess. You made this world a better place.”

Joe and Esha also extended their deep thanks to everyone who offered love and support during their daughter’s fight.

“We are forever grateful for the messages, prayers, and kindness you’ve shown us.”

Joules’ story is one of courage, light, and deep love — a reminder of how even the smallest lives can leave the biggest marks on the world.

Please keep the Smith family in your thoughts, and if you feel moved, share Joules’ story. Let’s keep her memory alive — and let’s keep dancing.

 Rest in peace, sweet Joules.
You danced your way into all of our hearts.
