With a second season officially confirmed for Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, stars Emily Osment and Montana Jordan are already envisioning big things for the show’s future—including a dream guest appearance by country music icon Dolly Parton.
Speaking during a recent interview, Osment shared her excitement about the show’s renewal. “It’s such a relief,” she said. “We’re so happy to have a season two to look forward to—we get to go into our hiatus knowing we’ll be back.”
Jordan added with a grin, “It should be illegal to have a schedule this great.”
The two stars also praised the show’s energetic tapings in front of a live audience. “It adds so much to our performance,” Osment noted. “Connecting with real fans every Tuesday night makes everything feel more alive.”
As the conversation turned toward dream guest stars, Osment lit up. “Mandy doesn’t have a grandmother on the show,” she said. “How perfect would Dolly Parton be?”
It’s more than just wishful thinking. Osment passionately explained why Dolly would be a perfect fit for the sitcom. “Dolly represents warmth, humor, and strength—all the qualities that would make for a hilarious and heartfelt grandmother character,” she said. “Imagine Dolly as Mandy’s grandma going head-to-head with Mima in a sassy Southern showdown. It’d be unforgettable.”
The idea isn’t so far-fetched. Osment has worked with Dolly before and recalled the experience fondly. “She smells like magnolia and is the sweetest human being. Just a delight to work with,” she said with a smile.
Montana Jordan was fully on board with the idea, joking, “We should definitely give her a call… I might need to get a sniff too!”
Off-screen, life is also full of milestones for the duo. Jordan recently got engaged and became a father. “My daughter visits us on set every Tuesday,” he shared proudly. “She’s always in a good mood—the happiest baby.”
Osment chimed in: “It’s been amazing watching us grow—on-screen and off. Chuck Lorre is writing our lives at this point!”
With their chemistry, heartwarming stories, and a growing fanbase, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is just getting started. And if Emily Osment gets her way, Dolly Parton might just bring some extra sparkle—and sass—to Season 2.
